Weekly Update: 13th June 2015

Div 1 Week 15 – Tenpin City – 13 June

The division bowled 7 pins over avera ge at Tenpin City with 59 200 games and 14 600 series. The high game went to Simon Millman with 268, followed by team mate Paul Neich 259, Shane Bond with a pair of 257’s and reserve Bob Cohen also with 257 and a 247, Alex Sole 243, Alan Wilson 242, Kristain Asquith 237, Rodney Kitley, David Knott, Chris Hampshire and Shane again on 233 and Neal Kennedy 232. The series went to Shane with 747, followed by Bob 710, Simon 694, Alex 682, Alan 666, Paul 665, Kristain 643, Chris Gervacio 639 and Josh Vanderkolk 634. The ladies high game went to Kayleen Watts 241, followed by Sarah Heath with 229, 226 and 222, reserve Emily Johnston with 219 and 203, Annette Bateup 196, Trudy Gould 192 and Jodie Terry 189. The series went to Sarah 677, followed by Kayleen 588, Emily 587, Annette 568, Jodie 547, Meg Abdilla 544, Trudy 513 and Michelle Simmonds 512.

Leaders Wetherill Park Bandits lost 11- to 4th place Bateau Bay Reaper Crew while 2nd place Tenpin City Tomahawks cut their lead to 7½ points winning 14-5. 3rd place Lidcombe lightning lost 14-5 to Mittagong Warriors while 5th place Campbelltown Cougars won 13-6 but dropped to 6th spot as Fairfield Fireballs scored the perfect 19 points on the bye. The high game was shared by Bandits and Fireballs with 1052 each with 7 games over 1000, they were Reaper Crew 1038, Warriors 1037, Reaper Crew again 1018, Tomahawks 1010 and Warriors again 1000. The series went to Reaper Crew 3026, Bandits 2976 and Tomahawks 2967.

Div 2 Week 17 – Wetherill Park – 13 June.

The division also bowled 7 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 58 200 games and 18 600 series. The high game went to Craig Brandon with a new high for the year of 289, followed by reserve Adrian Booy 264, Rick Russell 257, Manuel Bugay and Josh Mardel 247, Adrian again 245, Mikel Petersen 244, Ray Vandine 238, Chris Greaves 236 and Neil Maloney and John Raftry 235. The series went to Adrian with 712, Craig 684,, Manuel 665, Tony Zumbo 657, Josh 652, Steve Fairbairn 644, Mikel 640, reserve Dean Harris 637 and Rick 632. The ladies high game went to Evelyn O’Donnell 203, Kay Ginger 201, Lisa Love 194, Alison Bird 189, Rebeccanne Farr 188, Melissa Webb and Leonie Ince 186 and Maria Wrublewski 184. The series went to Maria 548, Kay 547, Evelyn 524, Leonie 522, Rebeccanne and Rose Lucas 505, Lisa Love 498 and Nicky Foster 491.

Leaders Bowlarama Alley Catz extended their lead to 16 points winning 16-3 while Campbelltown City Stingers lost 11-8 to last year’s champions Bowlarama Hotshots. Western Warriors won 10-9 in a close game with 4th place Wetherill Park Piranhas to join Stingers in equal 2nd spot with Piranhas just 1½ points behind. 5th place Tenpin Terriers lost 13-6 to 7th place Strathfield Superchargers and swapped places as Hotshots maintained their 6th spot. In a close competition 2nd to 9th is only a spread of less than 16 points. In other big wins, Lidcombe Looneys and Campbelltown City Alleygators both scored 15 and remained 8th and 9th respectively. The new high game of the season and equalling the Division 2 record set last year by Campbelltown Hi Rollers, went to Alleygators with 1085, with Alley Catz on 998 and Hotshots 991. The series also went to Alleygators with 3035, also a high for the season and smashing the previous Div 2 record set in 2000 by Sylvania. Hotshots scored 2875 and Alley Catz 2840.

Div 3 Week 17 – Mittagong – 13 June

The division bowled 2 pins under average on their first ever trip to Mittagong with 14 200 games and 2 600 series. The high game went to Daniel Prince 253, David Latham 236, Bruce Worrell 235, Brad Cook 233, Daniel again 227, Matthew Morris 224, reserve Jarrod Deveney and Bob Quinn 223, Mark Goggin 215 and Matt Burchall 212. The series went to Daniel 638, Brad 617, Bob 578, David 573, Matt Burchall 567, Mark 551, Bruce 550, Robert Ciacciarelli 544 and Matthew Jeffress 536. The ladies high game went to Ros Kirkland with 198 and 187, followed by Angela Francis with 181 and 175, Denise Young 173, Leanne Gray 171, Julie Strickland 170, Marianne Keith 164 and 163, Debbie van der Meer also on 163 and Janine Hendry 161. The series went to Ros 517, Angela 507, Leanne 484, Marianne 459, Debbie 447, Denise 441, Kerry Horvat 429, Julie 423 and Ros Shepherd 422.

Leaders Campbelltown City Chiefs won 12-7 but had their lead cut to 12½ points as Wetherill Park All Stars won 14-5 against 4th place Lidcombe Grimreapers dropping them down to 5th. 3rd place Strathfield Saints won 13-6 while Wetherill Park Rangers moved up to 4th spot winning 11-8. Windsor Wags won 16-3 to move up to 7th and Bowlarama Mixed Bag scored 14½ to remain in 9th. The high game went to Chiefs 934, followed by Saints 894 and Wags 883. The series went to Chiefs 2555, All Stars 2488 and Rangers 2464.
