Weekly Update: 12th March 2016

Division 1 Week 7 – Wetherill Park – 12 March

The division bowled 5½ pins over average at Wetherill Park with 62 200 games and 18 600 series. The high game went to Alex Sole 268, followed by Chris Greaves 264, Darren Topolski 260, Shane Brown and Chris again 246, John Raftry 243, Shane again 237, Chris again 236 and Garry Ridgeway 234. The series went to Chris 746, followed by Alex 728, Shane 658, Darren 657, reserve Neil Mills and Garry 647, Andrew Parker 634, John 632 and reserve Phil Meurant 625. The ladies high game went to Trudy Gould 245, Janelle Crass 234 and 218, Kayleen Watts 210 and 205, Trudy again 200, Jodie Terry 198, Sandra Stanshall 187, Leigh Shephard 185, Michelle Simmonds 182 and Annette Bateup and Hayley Fisher 181. The series went to Janelle 631, Trudy 601, Kayleen 577, Hayley 534, Annette 521, Sandra 517, Jodie 514, Amy Brown 512 and Michelle 503.
Leaders Strathfield Sandbaggers scored 15 on the bye to extend their lead to 7½ points as Wetherill Park Guns won 13-6. 3rd place Campbelltown Cougars scored 13 and 4th place Campbelltown Rebels scored 12½ but dropped to 5th place as Fairfield Bruises won 14-5 to move into 4th spot.

Other winners were Wetherill Park Bandits and Windsor 9 or Better both scoring 13 points. The high game went to Guns 1062, Cougars 1053, Bowlarama Hotshots 1026, Cougars 1015, Guns 1011, Sandbaggers 1010 and Rebels 1006. The series went to Guns 3037, Cougars 2988 and Rebels 2958.

Division 2 Week 6 – Tenpin City – 12 March

The division bowled 5 pins over average at Tenpin City with 31 200 games and 4 600 series. The high game went to reserve Daniel Prince 246, followed by Wolf Miller 236, Les Dunn 235, Ray Dillon and reserve Robert Delahoy 233, Robert Vamvas 226, Qim Yi Lee 225, Daniel again and Michael Burrows 224 and Roy Ahn, Jared Kirkland and David Stenstra 220. The series went to Daniel 687, Jared 635, Ray 625, Wolf 609, Allan Taylor 596, Les and Nicholas Liem 590, Robert Delahoy 585 and David 584. The ladies high game went to Rachel Kim 210, Leonie Ince 187, Carol Stenstra 184, Rebecca Taduran 182, Merle Turner 179, Rebeccanne Farr 178, Louise Morgan 173, Rebecca again 173 and 172, Carol again 172 and Wendy Kennedy 171. Leaders Windsor Wanderers lost 12-7 to Wetherill Park Rangers but retained the lead by 4½ points as 2nd place Gosford Grenades lost 15-4 to 8th place Strathfield Sharks who jumped to 3nd spot while Grenades dropped to 7th. 3rd place Windsor Rockets won 10-9, but dropped to equal 4th as Lidcombe Lyrebirds won 11-8 to move above them by ½ point. Tenpin City Bandits joined them in 4th spot with 13 points while Campbelltown Alleygators claimed 5th spot winning 12-7. The high game went to Lyrebirds 993 followed by Bandits 968 and Alleycatz 957. The series went to Bandits 2746, Rangers 2684 and Alleycatz 2676

Division 3 Week 6 - Windsor – 12 March

The division bowled 1 pin over average at Windsor with 6 200 games and 1 600 series. The high game went to Bob Quinn 258, followed by Matt Jeffress 242, Bob again 227, Bruce Worrell 224, Phil Spender 210, Possum O’Brien 199, Brad Cook 197, Tony Sutton 196, Nick Frost 193, Nathan Bracey 192 and Eric Weinstein 191. The series went to Bob 655, followed by Bruce 591, Matt 579, Tony 565, Nathan 564, Phil 543, Matt Burchall 535 and Nick 534. The ladies high game went to Lorraine Hazelwood 212, Maxine Jones 192, Lorraine again 189, Pam Russell 188, Marianne Keith 181, Angela Francis and Pam again 179, Angela again and Lorraine again 177and Ancita Levy 170. The series went to Lorraine 578, Angela 525, Pam 516, Ancita 503, Tracy Hodgson and Marianne 483, Maxine 479, Ros Shepherd 459, reserve Abigail Keith-Wheatley 447 and Janine Hendry 433.

Leaders Gosford Giants lost 12-7 to 2nd place Strathfield Saints and dropped to equal 4th but 4th place Bowlarama Lollipops scored 17 on the bye to leap over both teams and claim top spot, leaving Saints in 2nd still. 3rd place Lidcombe Hells Angels lost 15-4 to Fairfield Dragons and dropped to 6th as Dragons took their place in 3rd. Campbelltown Strikers won 17-2, Liverpool Lions won 16-3 and Wetherill Park All Stars 15-4 in a series of big wins. The high game went to All Stars 913, followed by Dragons 858 and Strikers 856. The series went to All Stars 2624, Dragons 2505 and Strikers 2479.
