Weekly Update: 2nd April 2016

Division 1 Week 9 – Windsor – 2 April

The division bowled 3 pins under average at Windsor with 31 200 games and 7 600 series. The high game went to Kristain Asquith 266, followed by Alan Shephard 259, Rodney Kitley 255, Shane Bond 247, Dean Ainsworth 233, reserve Phil Meurant 227, Andrew Parker 226 and Kristain again 225. The series went to Kristain 675, followed by Alan 664, Andrew 624, Rodney 613, Shane 611, Phil 610, Shane Brown 595, George Antaky 582 and John Raftry 573. The ladies high game went to Sarah Heath 265 and 223, followed by Kayleen Watts 221, Amy Brown 215 and 201, Rosalind Dowton 198, Evey O’Donnell 196, Tarni-Lee Thompson 194, Janelle Crass 193 and Trudy Gould 190 and 188. The series went to Sarah with 672, followed by Amy 594, Kayleen 546, Trudy 533, Janelle 526, Hayley Fisher 522, Rosalind 508 and Sandra Stanshall 500.

Leaders Wetherill Park Guns won 14-5 and extended their lead to 22½ points as 2nd place Campbelltown Cougars lost 11-8 to 3rd place Strathfield Sandbaggers and dropped to 4th as Sandbaggers claimed 2nd. Wetherill Park Bandits jumped up 3 places to claim 3rd spot winning 15-4 against 4th place Fairfield Bruises who dropped to 6th. Mittagong won 17-2, Wetherill Park Phoenix scored 13 on the bye and Lidcombe Li ghtning scored 12. The high game went to Sandbaggers 982, bandits 976 and Lightning 975. The series went to Bandits 2803, Guns 2796 and Sandbaggers 2773.

Division 2 Week 8 – Wetherill Park – 2 April

The division bowled 11 pins over average with 47 200 games and 11 600 series. The high game went to Ray Vandine 269, Les Dunn 268, Manny Bugay 257, Harry Collins 249, Graeme Pulbrook 247, Roy Ahn 245, Michail Wrublewski and Harry again 243, Jared Kirkland 242 and Ecky Liem 240. Murray Walker scored an all spare game. The new high series for the season was shared by teammates Harry and Les both scoring 712, while Ray scored 686, Jared 685, Manny 681, Ray Dillon 652, Allan Taylor 639, Graeme 629, Garry Graham 625, Ewan Thomas 623 and Ricky Andrews 601. The ladies high game went to Madison McCooey 213, Melissa Webb 193, Rebeccanne Farr 190, Maria Wrublewski 188, Madison again 184, Rebecca Taduran 183, Melissa again 182 and Rachel Kim 180. The series went to Madison 558, Melissa 535, Rebecca 507, Rebeccanne 494, Maria 492, Kay Ginger 478, Leonie Ince 476, Margaret Rogers 464 and Rachel 459.

Leaders Windsor Wanderers lost 13-6 to Tenpin City Slickers and dropped to 2nd as Lidcombe Lyrebirds won 14-5 and moved into top spot. Bowlarama Alleycatz remained in 3rd spot with 13 points but Campbelltown Alleygators moved within ½ point scoring 15 points. Wetherill Park Rangers scored 14 and Strathfield Sharks scored 12 points. The high game, and first over 1000 this year went to Alleygators with 1009, followed by Alleycatz 996 and Lyrebirds 982. The series went to Lyrebirds 2865, Alleygators and Rangers both scored 2763.

Division 3 Week 8 – South Strathfield – 2 April

The division bowled 2½ pins under average at Strathfield with 14 200 games and 3 600 series. The high game went to Kyle Keith-Wheatley 255, followed by Nick Frost 233, Matt Burchell 229, William Scheers 226, Bob Quinn 2 25, Matt W Smith 211, and Matthew Jeffress 205. The series went to Matt 620, followed by Bob 618, Nick 602, William 586, Kyle 571, Matthew Jeffress and Matt Burchell 554, Robert Kelly 540, Mark Goggin 535 and Possum O’Brien 520. The ladies high game went to Ros Kirkland 223, Marianne Keith 204, Lorraine Hazelwood 183, Debbie van der Meer 177, Marianne Keith 174, Maxine Jones 172, Angela Francis 174 and 167 and Ros Shepherd and Tracy Hodgson 166, The series went to Marianne 534, Angela and Ros Kirkland 491, Maxine 489, Lorraine 476, Debbie 469, Janine Hendry 431 and Ancita Levy 421.

Leaders Strathfield Saints lost 14-5 to 5th place Wetherill Park All Stars dropping to 3rd spot as All Stars moved up to 2nd. Bowlarama Lollipops moved up from 4th to top spot with 14½ points. 2nd place Fairfield Dragons played 3rd place Gosford Gants and won 10-9, but both teams dropped to equal 3rd and 5th respectively. Liverpool Lions scored 16, Lidcombe Hells Angels scored 14 and Campbelltown Strikers scored 12 on the bye. The high game went to Giants 923, All Stars 914 and Lollipops 881. The series went to Giants 2515, All Stars 2501 and Dragons 2435.
